Campsite Map & Facilities
Marshwood Farm Camping is a very quiet, small and friendly site. We have 5 spacious Grass Pitches, 3 Bell Tents and 2 Shepherd’s Huts.
CARS & PARKING
We are a family friendly site, so the camping field is fenced off. There are designated parking spaces for each pitch at either end of the field. This way children can run free around the tents safe from any cars or farm vehicles.
THE UTILITY BARN
In the utility barn you should hopefully find all the essentials you need when camping – flushing loos, warm showers, washing up sink, communal fridge & freezer, small kitchenette (which is stocked with some basic crockery and cooking equipment, just in case you forget or just don’t have the time and space to pack everything!) and plugs to charge your phone.
THE HONESTY SHOP
We have a very basic, small honesty shop that stocks a few emergency rations like a can of soup or a chocolate bar, kindling, wood, BBQ fuel to sell and fire bowls and BBQ’s to hire.
CAMPFIRES & BBQS
I personally believe camping is not camping without a campfire! Campfires and BBQs are allowed but only off the ground in a fire bowl, which is available to hire on site.
NOISE
We like a good night’s sleep here and enjoy listening to the owls hooting rather than cars driving in and out of the site, so we shut the campsite entrance gates between 10pm and 7am and ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum between these hours. We just ask people to respect your fellow campers, so if you want an all- night rave, this is not the campsite for you.
PETS
Sorry no pets as we are a working livestock farm.
LIGHTING
We are very lucky to be located in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is an International Dark Sky Reserve. To protect our fantastic night skies, we only have one outdoor sensor light by the utility block door, just in case you need to find the loo in the middle of the night. So please remember your torches.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES
We all live and work on the farm and campsite so someone is always around somewhere nearby, but we do not have a manned reception, so if you could send a quick txt or call to my mobile 07783507112 when you are nearby and I can make sure I am around to welcome you.
