If old castles and forts are your thing, well we have two! You should check out OLD SARUM and WARDOUR CASTLE. My little boy loves both of these, as you can run around and climb on the ruins.
A big family attraction is LONGLEAT. I say family attraction, but is a real treat for all ages. We go there for birthdays or special days out and never get bored of it.
One of my favourite places is LANGFORD LAKES NATURE RESERVE. It is an ideal place for bird watching with 4 lakes and 5 hides and most importantly a lovely café! It is also great for children with things to climb on and explore and a shallow stream to paddle in. It is only 7 mins drive from the farm, so I often take my little boy there if we want to escape for a bit, and he always loves it there.
